Collecting Rain Water 雨水を集める
After arriving Bocas del Toro, We haven't moved from here.
First days, we were anchoring in front of Bocas town. We had party music noise so loudly until 3AM , from Thursday to weekend. So it was difficult to sleep. Also many Rancha ( speed boat for passengers) pass every moment with so much speed, so our boat moves,,,,
A few days after arrival, We were 6 people in the boat, captain, captain's brother Fabi, captain' s friend Segolenn from Martinique, Mika from France, Mila's son Nino ( 8 years old! And very good surfer ) and me. So we were moving whole boat to go to surf spot which is not so far.
From second day , we went to surf. Everybody was so excited to get waves! Me, not so much...
For one year, I haven't surfed , so I had a bit hesitation to surf.
Also I am not good at surf with other friends.
Because I don't know which wave came to me or to friends. I don't want to take friends wave by mistake.
I have to learn how to enjoy my surfing with relaxed feeling.
Only 8 years old Nino was so relax and looked like an Angel in the water.
He sings a song , laugh and play in surf, so I liked to be close to him and I was happy to give him waves.
And he also gives me waves!!
He respects other adults, he wait long time aside when other adults are occupying the peak. He
doesn't try to skip the wave waiting line up while other members do this. This is not good manner on surf.
So I was surprised at Nino's respectful attitude in the water .
Nino also like to go hunting lobster and crabs.
We often went snorkeling when no surf day.
We got many lobsters. Mika, Nino, captain, captain brother are very good at skin diving and hunting.
One day we went to surf spot named Carenero point, We saw another French sail boat anchored beside us and many young members came out with surfboards. They were 4 Longboard girls, and one short board man who is captain of this yellow boat.
We were so happy to meet them. We enjoyed surf together.
I liked surf with people who starting to be surfer.
3 girls were just started surf , I see how they are enjoying just trying to paddle and catch waves.
When successfully catch, I can feel their joy and I remember how happy I was when I also started to become surfer. Every trying and error was so great joy.
Now, it is still joyful but not same as when I started.
This yellow boat "Aito" and our boat " Amazone" are still friends , anchoring next to each other in the village named " old banks" .
In here, we have 2 more French boats we became friends.
One boat is "Tawun" means " wind" in French Guiana language.They lived in French Guiana and one girl was born in there. Her name is Lilou. She teaches me French so kindly and with patience.
She made me word practice cards with her drawing. I learnd the words like " brush" , " baskets" , " bird" in French.
They have also twins ( girl and boy) who has 3 years old. They are so cute!
Another boat is " Tad Alu", Aluminium boat.
i feel a little bit sad because of I cannot join to conversations in this French boats. Especially when they are laughing.
I want to laugh together.
With this 4 boats together, we surfed a lot in Bocas del Toro!
And I made so good kids friends !
My difficulty of French speaking helped me connect to children more than adults.
Our Captain Basti put one seat of canvas which he sewed for collecting rain water.
I noticed we can drink rain water , and it tastes better than tap water.
So collecting water become my job.
When rain starts, I jump to outside and put buckets.
We all take shower in the rain. When rain starts, we take our soap and start washing in outside.
Otherwise we have to buy water and keep in the tank.
I noticed how rain is important to get free water. I don't like buying water, I don't like somebody in the world selling water for making money. We better use more rain water.
日本語に訳すのが大変そうで、、
日本語でブログを書くと 日本語を自由に書けるだけに 何を書いたらいいかな どうでもいいことは書きたくないし と悩んでしまって しばらくブログがかけなくなりました。
その後 今ここを楽しんで生きる！というモットーができて 今ここの景色も見ずに 携帯電話の小さい画面とにらめっこしてブログを書く気が起こらなくなってしまいました。
でも アートというか 詩のように その時出てきたフィーリングで なにか漠然としたことを書くのも
楽しそうだなぁとおもっています。
パナマのボカ デ トロ についてから 全く動かず３ヶ月。サーフィンしている毎日でした。
あとは 古びたティーシャツで船で着る部屋着のようなビキニを作ったり 雨傘からウォータープルーフスカートを作ったり（？！）
生地が手に入らない中で リメイクとっても楽しんでいました。
あとは 飲水やシャワーのための雨水を集めるのが とても嬉しいと気づきました。
船の甲板に張ったキャンバス地で雨水を集めます。
雨水の味は ピュアで軟水で美味しいです。もちろん 色々汚染とかあるのかもしれませんが ふりはじめの雨は なるべくシャワーや洗濯に回すようにしています。
最近 水を売ろうとする多国籍企業が
ありますが 水は みんなが無料で得られるはずの 天からの贈り物なはずなのに 独占してお金に変えている人たちがいることが 嫌で 水を買うのはなるべく控えようと思っています。
ボカ デ トロ では 黄色くて可愛い「aito」という船の キャプテンと若い女子達とサーフィンを一緒に出来て楽しかったです。
他にも フランス国籍のボート2隻と友達になって どの船のみんなも 子供までサーフィンするので みんなで毎日サーフィン出来て ほんとに楽しかったです！
on a Boat across Carribbean sea⛵
I met to this captain at Jeremie sail maker house in Martinique when we were making sails for the bamboo raft. Jeremie and Lydia kindly let us stay in their house.
Jeremie let me use his surfboard and gave me a lift to go to surfing beach called Tartaine.
This captain is also a surfer and he came to Tartaine with Lydia to pick me up after my surfing . He was also ordering sails to Jeremie for his boat, because Jeremie makes good sail!
I immediately asked him if I can go with his boat to Panama.
Panama is a access way to Pacific Ocean!! ( Panama canal)
And even more wonderful thing, he said " We are going to make surf trip by boat!"
This is amazing!
I didn't need to ask around many boats on marina. I felt like ,"Is the things happen like this in this world? Like a magic? "
Now I really expect this kind of magic happen on one's life.
I said " I will sail with bamboo boat as long as I can, then after I will join your surf trip."
I flew to Trinidad because it was so good chance. They are on carnival weeks , and it was really close. The flight took only 40 minutes from St.Lucia to Trinidad.
After 10 days in Trinidad, I flew back to St.Lucia, then took a speed ferry to Fort de France , Martinique to meet my new captain.
I arrived to Le Carbet town, north of Fort de France. I was traveling with a surf board which Jeremie gave me.
As soon as I got off a bus, one car with local people said " Where do you go with this surfboard?! We will help you !,,"
Then I got a lift to "Wahoo bar ," which was a meeting point to this new captain.
We put my 2 big bags to Annex(dinghy) and I forgot to put my surf board !
The captain' s boat , he bought it by 1 € because it was destroyed by Hurricane.
Boat name is Amazone , 13 meters monohull boat. He is living in this boat for 4 years now.
Captain has many friends here and everybody was saying good bye to him.
We left Martinique " Le Carbet" beach on sunset time. Some captain' s friends followed us for a while by small catamaran boat.
For them, it is also like a dream to sail to Panama.
My boat life starts again. We sailed to St. Bartholomew island. It took for only 1.5 days sailing.
Here, we met our captain's friend named Nico. He also loves a boat and living in his 8 meters boat. His father is a boat builder at La Rochelle in France, and he also can fix motor and everything of the boat.
He explained many things about boat in English. In this boat , the main language is French , so I was missing some conversations I can join. I really thanked to Nico.
St. Bartholomew island is famous for only rich people lives there like Rockefeller had a house in here.
Then we sailed to St. Martin island to pick up captain' s brother who is living there.
He also lives on his boat.
Then we started sailing to Panama. After 9 days sailing, we arrived at Bocas del Toro In Panama!( Carribbean side)

After several argument with the captain of beautiful bamboo raft, I got an order to get off the boat. It was on the sea we were anchoring. Then one speed boat came to us and asked if we need any help.
The captain asked him to tow our raft, but it was difficult. So I asked him to bring me to the beach. I packed up my luggage in hurry because I cannot miss this help boat which maybe God sent us, then I could say just" bye captain" he didn't say anything. He was totally upset . He told me "your opinion is always wrong. You lead to wrong way. You don't show any way. Your character is BAD! "
I maybe agree , it must be true. But I don't be sad. I just have to change myself better.
When the bamboo raft is sailing, every single boat come to see us,and take photos.
The boat was so beautifully made and I felt totally safe.Raft has two beds made by net.
It was very comfortable.
The sail painted colourfully by captain was very beautiful , too. And he painted all cabinet and waterproof bags and rain cover ( he call it Tipi). For Tipi , me and Lydia painted together. It looks like an Yellow Mt.Fuji with dragon and bamboo.
I arrived at pontoon, I got off the speed boat, then I really didn't know what to do.
I asked if I can camp somewhere, then they told me I can camp with one family living on the beach. This people, and people from St.Lucia are really really nice!
I was a bit scared Carribbean island people just because I heard some experience of other people.
I also got bad experience both Trinidad and Tobago especially on the beach.or on the street at night time.
But this opinion about people changed complately this time.
On my travel, what I most wish is "please let me meet nice people!"
Meeting to nice people is also responsibility of oneself. Now I believe so. I believe that It is not just quincident whom we meet.
This time, thanks God, I was really feeling saved.
Today I bought airplane tickets to Trinidad and return ticket to St.Lucia.
Then I will take a boat back to Martinique to meeting next captain who is going to surf trip in Panama and central America...
Now my dream become closer "surfing and sail" .
Wave and wind
I was not interested in wind at all until I started to be in a sail boat. I didn't understand how windsurfers are enjoying it.
I would like to keep understanding more about wind and sail.
I hope wind can clean my badness of my character inside.
Wave often wash me off from many things I have.
After sailing I started to feel I have too many things in my backpack. This is first time feeling.
Having too many luggages was long thema on my travel.
I hope it can change!
さよならバンブーイカダ、さよならキャプテン ごめんなさい。
突然 予期もしなかった下船宣告。下船宣告はこれまでヒッチハイクした船で2回受けたけど いつも呆然として大荷物を抱え ポントゥーン（はしけ）に降り立ち しばらく立ちつくしてた。
一回目は 朝の3時に目的地についたあと あと一日泊まれるつもりが もう次のクルーが来るからと言われ 朝8:30に ベッドで寝てるとこを起こされ 今出ていって と言われた。
2回目は ラッキーダッキーという 大西洋横断で乗せてもらった船、ヒッチハイククルー3人全員 目的地につかない手前で 降りてくれと言われて降りて みんなでポントゥーンでしばらく呆然タイム。
みんなキャプテンとうまく行ってなかったし、やっぱり、私達の態度が悪かったのか？でもこの船でのヒッチハイクのことはあとからイタリアで新聞記事になった！
そして12月に船に乗せてもらう旅を開始していま2月１４日、こんな短期間で３回目の下船宣告とは、、。しかも さらにレベルアップして 海の上で ここで降りろと言う！
しかも 船は不規則な風で全く進まなくなり 竹のブーム（帆を下から支えてる枝みたいなもの）も 突風で折れてしまった。
キャプテンが下船宣告の理由の説明を始める。「さっき あなたはココナッツの実を取り出そうとして包丁で手を切ったでしょう。そして今 僕（キャプテン自身）もココナッツを切ろうとして包丁で手を切った。これは ここで手を切れ、二人は手を切る＝離れるべきだという暗示なんだよ」キャプテンの手のひらから赤い血が結構出ていた。
「あなたの性格の悪さにはもうほとほと愛想が尽きた。あなたは 間違った意見ばかりを僕に言って どんないい方向も示さない。この船がここで目的地につけず風向きはぐちゃぐちゃで 止まってしまったのも そういう私達の間が立ち行かなくなったことを表しているんだよ」
変な場所に放り投げるように降ろされてはかなわん！と思いはじめたところ ちょうど スピードボートが私達のイカダに近寄ってきて 「助けが必要か？」と聞いてきた。「はい！助けが必要です！」と私達は言った。キャプテンは船ごと岸まで引っ張ってほしいと言って ロープでつなぎ 引っ張りはじめたところ 何かがトラブルになったらしく だめだ、といった。「この女性だけ 岸まで連れて行ってください」とキャプテン。わたしは大慌てで荷物をバッグにぐちゃぐちゃに詰め込んだ。私の帽子をキャプテンに貸していた。その日もキャプテンが、かぶっていたので すっかり忘れてしまったけど 私より悔しいくらい似合っていたから それはキャプテンに使ってもらってわたしからの感謝の気持ちとしよう。キャプテンは帽子を持っていないし 私達は日焼け止めも一切使わなかったので キャプテンの鼻の皮は何度もむけて 痛々しいくらい真っ赤になっていた。
キャプテンの作る船はアートで それを作り出す過程も 見ていて 素晴らしいと思う美しさだった。ペインティングも。
ビデオ作りもすごい。夜はビデオにつける音楽も作っている。
私はちょうどGoProで旅の映像を撮ろうと思っていたのに ほとんど撮っていなかったから キャプテンの仕事を見て勉強になった。
キャプテンは今も一人であのきれいな船で航海を続けている。（はず）
３人になったら きっと良くなるからそこまで頑張ろう、と言っていたのに。そこまであと二島だった。とはいえ二島いくには一週間はかかるだろう。
速度はスピネカーなしで５ノットは最大のとき出ていた。大西洋横断の、レース用の船でスピネカー（追い風のときの大きなパラシュートのような帆）使って１０〜11ノットだったから バンブーイカダの性能はとてもいいと言える。キャプテンはセーリングの腕もいいのかもしれない。（まだ私にはセーリングのうまい下手は見分けられない）
ここサンタルシアのはしけに降り立ち すぐ目の前のピーチに小屋を立てて明るく楽しくフリーダムライフを送っている家族を紹介してもらい この人たちすごくいい人だから！といわれて そこにお世話になって ご家族もみんなウェルカムしてくれた。
旦那さんが作ってくれた魚とヤム芋のごった煮スープが美味しい〜！
そういえば 今朝6時から キャプテンと一緒にビーチで仕掛け網漁でかかった魚やカニをはずすの手伝って 漁師さんからいっぱい魚とカニを分けてもらったの 塩をして鍋に入れて セーリングの後でどこかについたら料理しようね と言っていたのにな。
網から一匹一匹魚やカニを外していると みんなこんがらがってどれだけもがいて狭い網の目からくぐり抜けて逃げたいと頑張って死んでいったことがわかる。
美味しそうな魚 でも 苦しめてしまってごめんなさい。
地元の人が捕まえたウミガメの子供は 水槽の中から出ようとして泳いでいるけど身体にもヒレにもいっぱい苔が生えていた。
竹のイカダのキャプテンはなるべく他の船や観光客が行かない地元の人たちと触れ合うことを目的としていた。そういうところは私は大賛成だった。漁師さんを手伝おうと言ったのもキャプテン。
ココナッツの木にも登れるキャプテン。
普通のヨットの人は 普通はお金持ちだからヨット持っているわけで そういう人たちの行く先々での豪勢な旅の仕方を あまり良く思っていないと言っていた。
地元の人が行くような店には行かず ヨットの人たちが集まるヨーロッパ向けの高級な料理を出す店にみんな集ってたり、地元の人とは交流したり話さずに たくさんのヨットがとめるところにとめ 隣近所の 同じ国のヨットとばかり友達になっている人たちの旅の仕方。確かにキャプテンの言うとおりだと思う。
私も グランカナリアのラスパルマスのマリーナで日本の日の丸を上げた船を見たときはめちゃめちゃ嬉しかったけれども。そして 市場で地元の魚をかって奥様がつくってくれたお寿司、お刺身、とてもありがたかった。最終日に知り合ったこのマリーナに長く住んでいらっしゃるつわものの旅人のもう一人の日本人の方まで声をかけて また日本のご夫妻のカタマランに二人で遊びに押しかけちゃったくらい、日本人同士こんなとこで会えるのうれしかったけれど。
明日 懐かしのトリニダードに飛行機で飛びます。荷物は制限量を超えてるし サーフボードもあるのでここに置かせてもらって一週間後に帰ってきます。
今週末はカーニバルのスチールパンのコンテストのセミファイナルがあると聞きました。
また以前とめてもらっていたかたのお宅に カーニバル中お忙しい中 お願いしてご厚意でとめていただけることになり。
でないとカリブは宿が高すぎてとても旅できません。
そういう物価の高い島々をを キャンプでずっと旅してきたバンブーボートは 新しい旅の仕方を提案する船でした。
2月23日にまたここに戻り荷物をとってから マルティニク島に戻り 別のキャプテンの船でパナマまでサーフトリップに行く予定です。
今度こそ 自分の言動を外から見つめ直して うまくキャプテンとやっていき 楽しい航海ができるように頑張ります！

隣の島サンタルシアにつきました！

こんにちは！
とってもスローすぎて先日は竹のイカダすら下船させられそうになった私ですが ゆっくり私なりのブログを書いていこうと思います！
ほとんど船の経験もゼロですが いつか自分の船を持ってサーフトリップしたいという夢に近づくため 大西洋をボートヒッチハイクでカリブ海マルティニク島に渡ってきてから 竹でできたイカダに出会いました。
イカダには帆がついているので 風と帆のことを学べるし なによりイカダがアート作品ぽく 寝るところもネットが付いていて 家のような感覚で快適に旅できるので 船上生活ってこんな感じなんだな、という感覚が味わえます。
イカダを操縦するキャプテンが私のスローさに我慢ができなくなってある日爆発してしまい 私は早く動くようにならないといけなくなりました。長年自分の性格だと思っていたことを変えるのはイカダでSt.Luciaという隣の島まで渡るのと同じくらいのビッグチャレンジです。
船の上の人間関係も 勉強しなければならない課題です。速く動けないと船の世界では厳しいそうですが いつか 私自身がキャプテンになって 女の子だけでも操縦できて 厳しい男の世界というイメージを覆すような ゆっくりなキャプテンが操縦する船を目指したいです。
明日から 隣の島サンタルシアへの航海です。普通の船なら3〜5時間でいけるところをイカダだと10〜12時間かかるそう。
食料と水はとにかくたくさん積み込めとアドバイスを長年セーリングしている人から受けました。この方はイカダ制作を監修してくださって 帆も作っていただいたのですが イカダはスピードはゆっくりだがすごく安全だそうで 私は安心しています。
明日は風も良いそうなので あとは私達の精神力と運の良さが大切かな、と思います。
船出が楽しみです！

I would like to anounce about my traveling through this blog now.
It can be very simple blog for now because I am traveling on a raft and camping on beaches.Learning how to sail can be long and interesting way in my life. maybe same interesting as surfing.
Now I am in Martinique island in Carribean sea.We will try to sail to next island by raft, it will be a charange.
I hope someday I can across pacific ocean by sail.
I hitchhiked boats from Spain till here. Atrantic crossing was very peaceful and pushed by trade wind (l'alizé).
I feel more homeground on Pacific side and I m so interested in visiting islands of pacific. Before that,I will enjoy America continents.
